Manufacturer Warranty


Shy Guy Gaming is a “Third-Party” game console repair provider, and as such, any repairs carried out by us will (at the Manufacturer’s discretion) void the Manufacturer Warranty.

If the customer has remaining Manufacturer Warranty on their console, we will strongly advise the customer to seek a repair of the defective console either directly from the Manufacturer or by returning the console to the retailer from where it was purchased. This will ensure that any work carried out on the console by Authorised Personnel will preserve your remaining warranty coverage and conditions.

If your console is outside of Manufacturer Warranty or the Manufacturer or Retailer will not remedy your defect inside your warranty terms, we will accept the console for repair on the basis that you have chosen our service as your preferred repairer.

Shy Guy Gaming will not be held responsible for a customer forfeiting a claim against Manufacturer warranty by choosing to utilise our Repair Service.

Service Timeframes


Repair timeframes are not fixed, It is to be expected that any timeframes quoted to customers take into account, but may be altered by, workshop capacity, workload, part availability and complexity of repair.

While we strive to deliver a repair within the quoted timeframe, we will not be held responsible for any claim made in regard to a repair taking longer than expected to complete.
Where practicable, we will notify the customer if we anticipate the repair timeframe will need to be extended.

Responsibility of Data Stored on Device


Shy Guy Gaming cannot guarantee that internally or externally stored data will be preserved during the repair process. This includes, but is not limited to, Internal and External Hard Drives and Solid State Drives, USB Drives, Disc Based Media, Cartridge Based Media and any Online-Only Content stored on your console.
While we strive to retain all stored data during the process of repair, , this cannot be guaranteed in all cases. All repairs will be conducted with this understanding.

Warranty


Shy Guy Gaming guarantees all repairs (with the exception of Modifcations performed by us) for a period of 6 months from the date of completion. This guarantee means that we will rectify and remedy any defect replacement parts and/or workmanship that comprised the initial repair of your device, in a reasonable timeframe, at no further cost to you.

If your device has been altered in any way or the defect is determined to be caused by 1) customer neglect, including but not limited to, Insect infestation, Liquid damage, repair attempts not carried out through our service, console modifications, or 2) customer abuse, including but not limited to, forcing HDMI, USB or any other cables into ports with excessive force, bending and malforming ports or connectors, blunt force damage and dropped consoles, we retain the right to refuse a warranty repair.
Warranty is provided for the initial repair only, and further faults unrelated to the initial repair are not covered by our guarantee.
Refurbished parts may be used in intial repairs and warranty repairs.

Previously Modified Consoles & Controllers


Shy Guy Gaming will not offer a warranty on repairs of Modified consoles, and may, at its discretion, choose to not work on a console that has been modified with a hardware or softwafe modification. Existing Console modifications, which have been completed at a prior point in time at the discretion of the customer are the sole liabilty of the customer and as such we bear no reposibility or liability in this regard.

Generally, we will work around any modifications if they are present, and will strive to preserve the modification if it is not the cause of the fault to be repaired and does not risk damage to the parts and workmanship we will carry out on the item.

However, if it is necessary to remove a modification to successfully repair an item, the item will be returned to factory configuration to do so and any hardware modications returned to the customer.
We will notify the customer in these cases of any conflicts between existing modifications and the viabilty of a successful repair of the customers device.

Console & Controller Modifications Performed by Shy Guy Gaming


Shy Guy Gaming may, at its discretion, offer to perform or agree to a customer request to perform a hardware or software modification to a customer’s console or controller.

In the case that a modification is agreed upon and carried out on a customer’s item, It is understood by the customer that the modification is carried out at the customers own risk and no liability will be held by Shy Guy Gaming.
Any modifications carried out by us will not be accompanied by a warranty period of any kind and no technical support will be offered in regard to the modification.

It is the responsibility of the customer to maintain the modification, download any software required to make the modification function correctly, etc.
Any offer by us or acceptance of a request to modify an item from the customer progresses with this explicit understanding and Shy Guy Gaming bear no reposibility or liability in this regard.
